Fincas CALEDONIA S.A. The Scottish Tradition in Argentina was founded in 2005 by Ronald Mackay and Viviana Galleno. It is a Sociedad Anónima registered in the Province of Mendoza, Argentina.
Fincas CALEDONIA S.A. Ronald Mackay and Viviana Galleno manage this family-owned business with master winemaker Damian Vinci and marketing agent Bill Somerville. Ronald is from Coupar Angus in Scotland; Viviana was born in Lima, Peru. Ronald’s great-grandfather settled in Argentina in the 1800s. Viviana’s family migrated from Rome to Argentina in the 1920s. They helped to develop wine production there as well as lay the plans for Mendoza’s irrigation system. Damian migrated from Italy to Argentina in his teens, certified as an oenologist and for many years was Cinzano’s representative in San Rafael. He has managed high-quality wineries in the Province of Mendoza. Bill, from Bearsden in Scotland, represents Gordon & MacPhail in Ontario and has been promoting fine wines and good times for over 20 years.
Fincas CALEDONIA S.A. represents the Scottish and Italian heritage of Argentina, known for quality, reliability, innovation, gratification and gusto! Its mission is to provide customer satisfaction through continuous excellence and social and environmental responsibility.
Experienced in both national and export sales of wine made with grapes from their own vineyards in San Rafael, Fincas CALEDONIA S.A. has formed a consortium with partner wineries in Mendoza’s southern oasis (San Rafael) and with a renowned winery in its central oasis (Valle de Uco and Tupungato) with the purpose of expanding the wine varietals they would offer.
CALEDONIA’s wines from the San Rafael district are destined for the Argentine market and are sold in five major cities in Argentina.
CALEDONIA’s red, white and sparkling wines from Tupungato / Valle de Uco, are reserved for export.
